This spring the long time CBS show CSI spun off a new version called CSI: Cyber. The show revolves around an FBI team that investigates crimes that start or exist on the Internet. The ABC Family cable channel is known for family friendly programing and series that appeal to the teen demographic. I was shocked the other day to see a promo for broadcast of the movie ‘Bad Teacher’ with Cameron Diaz. The movie is not family friendly nor something just any teen should see. I stumbled on to this live performance of Sun Kil Moon’s “By The Time That I Awoke” and I quite liked it. The minimal accompaniment and slightly off voice all work together for me. Haunting would be a word I would use to describe it.
With a deluge of remakes and comic book movies at the theater, it gets hard to find a good adult film to watch. Tammy (2014) being called an adult film might be a stretch but it didn’t disappoint me and is funny screwball comedy. Continue reading →
